FLYERS   5     HAWKS   1

Baron Kurt Von Mach scores two minutes into the contest as the Flyers dominate the Hawks.  Flyers goaler and Notre Dame High School alumni Billy Schaugg with a very light workload.  Appropriately for the Holidays – “Party” Pete Kaczmarek, Danny Rea, Mike Riddle and “Diamond” Dave Vorbes round out the Flyers scoring.  Captain John “Shifty” Shelton with the Hawks lone goal.

Habs up two zip entering the final period.  Then Jeff Ivory scores his first of two goals a minute into the final period and Dr. Nate McCoughtry scores six seconds after Ivory’s second goal, to steal a W away from the Frenchmen.  Sharks sub puck stopper Rodney Heid was stellar in nets.  Al Pyc and Mike T. Brown with first period Habs goals.

BRUINS    5    WINGS   3

A feisty and free wheeling affair as Baker’s Bruins upend the upstart Wings.  Center John McNeilly with the final two Bruins markers.  Jimmy “Jets” Galloway, Chuck Bowers and Craig Bastuba with singles.  The Wings excel on the power play as they convert twice.  “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio, Brian Moore and Grand Rapids call up Mike Ala tally for the Wings.  Rex Baker took exception to a Ryan Boyette slash and both participants hit the box in tandem.  Ryan with a slashing minor and Baker with a roughing minor.

HABS   2   FLYERS    1

Both teams split for the day as goaltenders Billy Schaugg and Habs sub Mark Luscki put on a goaltending clinic for the sparse Holiday crowd.  Steve Bittner and once again Mike T. Brown were the Habs marksman.  Mike Nalepa with the Flyers top shelf goal.

BRUINS    4    HAWKS   2

The red hot Bruins are undefeated in their last five contests and are now tied for first place with the Wings, as they sweep for the day.  Bruins were down 2-0 entering the final period.  After an emotional between periods pep talk from Captain Baker, the Bruins proceed to score 33 ticks into the period for a total of four final period goals and the W!  John McNeilly, Craig Bastuba, Mike “King of the Road” Miller and Jimmy Galloway do the honors for the Bruins.  Timmy “Dutch” Schultz and Brian Reath score for the Hawks as they drop a deuce today.

WINGS   7     SHARKS    2

The Sharks jump out to a 2-0 lead four minutes into the game, as Midtown” Mikey Brown and Scott Leslie dent the twine.  Then it hit the Wings.  The Sharks were playing the game without their stud goalie Billy Mac Jr.  “Shoot the puck” Wings goaltender Muddy could be heard yelling throughout the game!  And shoot they did, as the Wings rack up a seven spot!  “Downtown” Jimmy Brown with the trick.  Singles for Terry Boyette(Also 3 Helpers), converted forward Steve Wink, Brian Moore and sub Mike Ala. Right defenseman Paul Elsey pitched in with a three assist game.  Even goaler Muddy joined in the Holiday fun with an assist, as the Wings earn a split for the day.
