HAWKS   6    FLYERS   5

The Nurtisystem poster boy, Robbie Olmstead scores twice in the games last three minutes, as the Hawks upend the Flyers.  Robbie was all over the ice as he has shed forty pounds in the past year!  Singles for long time buddies Ward Peterson and Jim Puffer.  Soon to be Daddy – sub Billy “The Kid” Szkodzinski goes top shelf.  Flyers center Brian Moore with a two goal game.  Pat Wosek, Mike T. Brown and sub Scott Bozyk with singles.  Browns goal was a highlight reel, putting the puck were “Grandma stores the peanut butter!”

WINGS   4     BRUINS   4

Up and down hockey in this stalemate.  Big Rob Rowling with the trick for the Wings.  The ageless Terry Boyette with the Wings initial marker.  Joey Reiss with the hat trick assist.  The Wings were without Captain Ryan Boyette today, as he recovers from concussion type symptoms due to last weeks puck in the face incident and heads to Urgent Care to get his stitches out.  Get well Ryan!  Playing like Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins – Craig Bastuba with the well earned hat trick!  Captain Rex Baker chipped in with a goal in this penalty free game.

HABS   5     SHARKS   2

The Frenchmen dismantle the Sharks, as it seemed like the Sharks were swimming up stream all game minus their quarterback Billy Mac Jr. who was absent for the second consecutive week.  Moncton call up Tim Craddock with the tour du chapeau.  Singles for centers Bryan Prentice and Nate McNaughtry.  Jeff Ivory and Jimmy Brown score for the Sharks.  In a losing effort, Sharks net-minder Billy Schaugg with a very solid game in nets.

HAWKS   4   BRUINS   1

With hockey luminary Rob Duff watching the game – the Hawks sweep for the day!  Once again, the swift Robbie Olmstead with the deuce.  Singles for Marty Papesh and sub Billy Szkodzinski.  Goaler “Smoking” Joe Polizzi had his glove hand working today!  John Cornish with the Bruins lone marker.  James Puffer of the Hawks picks up a solo minor unsportsmanlike penalty.

WINGS   8     SHARKS   6

You better score if you play this high octane Wings team!  The newly formed law firm line of Bayagich, Boyette and Nalepa total 14 points in the game!  Mr. Mike Nalepa(5 & 2) with a huge game!  Steve Bayagich(2 & 2) and Terry Boyette(3 Helpers) round out the carnage.  Eddie Sudzina with a single.  Deuces wild for “Downtown” Jimmy Brown and Jimmy “Jets” Galloway of the Sharks.  Jeff Ivory and subbing for his brother Billy Mac Jr. today – Mikey McCauley find the back of the net.  Mike Riddle with three helpers.

HABS   3   FLYERS   2

The top spot Habs remain undefeated in their past three doubleheaders.  Bryan Prentice, Dr. Nate McNaughtry and sub Tim Craddock score for the Frenchmen.  Goaler Dar with his usual solid if not spectacular game in nets!  Grinders Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi and Mike T. Brown tally for the Flyers, who drop their second straight doubleheader and descend into last place in the standings.  Sub net-minder “Ricky” Nelson with an excellent game between the pipes for the Flyers, as they kill a full two minute 5 on 3 advantage for the Habs.  Pat “The Beast” Wosek and Mike T. Brown both were in the box observing the penalty kill with minor unsportsmanlike conduct infractions.
