WEEK ONE – PLAYOFFS

WOW!

61 GOALS SCORED IN TODAYS SIX GAMES!

LOST OF TALENT IN THIS HERE LEAGUE!

HAWKS  6   BRUINS   3

Mr. Mike “King of the Road” Miller scores his teams first four goals, as the Hawks wipe away an early 2-0 deficit.  Line-mate Brian Moore with the deuce.  Winger Steve “Mario” Lemieux with a single.  Marty Papesh with a five helper game as the Moore, Miller and Papesh line total twelve points in the game.  John McNeilly, Mike Garlick and Nate McNaughtry score for the Bruins.

HABS   7   SHARKS   6

How do you stop the big guy?  Mr. Rob Rowling with a huge five goal game!  Scott Chodun and Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi also score for the Habs.  Donnie Riviera(2), Jeff Ivory, Timmy “Dutch” Schultz, Mike Riddle and Billy Mac Jr. score for the Sharks.  Habs defenseman Lloyd Rogers with an unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty as he left the game and had to be coerced by a teammate to return.

WINGS   9    FLYERS   4

Mike “Padre” Nalepa scores his fist of three goals 14 ticks into the game as the Wings steamroll the Flyers.  Deuces wild for Paul Violassi(Also 3 Helpers) and Steve Bittner.  Singles for “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio and Chad Wooten.  Flyers – Billy “The Dark” Knight, Mike T. Brown and subs Scott Davenport and Stacey.

BRUINS   8    HABS   2

The Bruins take their game one frustrations out on the Habs, as they score two shorthanded handed and one power play goals.  Deuces abound for Dr. Nate, Mike Ala and sub Trevor Thompson.  John McNeilly and Curt Lesnau with singles.  This game was a lot easier on the Bruins ears, as they did not have goalie Dar continually screaming expletives at his teammates as in game one!  Hockey decorum?  Rob Rowling and Bob Giroux with the Habs markers.  Habs defenseman Jack Leavy with simultaneous interference minors as he left the game and had to be coaxed by a teammate to return.  These Habs were a whiney bunch in both games today, as they constantly complained about every call!

SHARKS   7    FLYERS   5

Da Sharks send the Flyers to a double dip loss today!  “Downtown” Jimmy Brown and Jeff Ivory with two goal games.  Singles for Benny Hudson, Billy Mac Jr. and sub Sammy Antonucci.  Donnie Riviera with a four helper game.  Flyers – Joey Reiss, Pat “The Beast” Wosek, Danny Rea and subs Scott Davenport and Larry “School Boy” Rowe.

HAWKS    3    WINGS   3

Finally a game that didn’t give the score keeper writers cramp!  The Hawks score shorthanded twice as Steve Lemieux(2) and Marty Papesh dent the twine.  Paul Violassi, “Angry” Joe and Mike Nalepa tally for the Wings.  A tip of the cap to Hawks Sting rookie goalie Darren Clark, who played very well in both games today!
