HAPPY NEW YEARS!!

FLYERS   6    HABS    5

The Flyers dip into their farm club and call up Big Mike Folster.  Big Mike responded with a huge four goal game and also assisted on the other two goals for a six point game!  Jimmy “One Skate” Sauter and Al Platt with singles.  Mike Ala with three helpers.  The Frenchmen reciprocate and go into their Moncton farm club and receive the tour du chapeau from sub Krause.  Mike Lawson and Jeff “Dick” Tracy also with French markers.

WINGS   4    BRUINS    3

With half of their team missing – the Wings rely on their Grand Rapids farm club as they call up five subs.  Paulie “Jay” Giles and subs Vigi(2) and “Mike” Phipps dent the twine for the Wings.  The Bruins scorers were sub “Fred” Lynn(2) and Bob “Bugsy” Watson.  No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

HAWKS    4     SHARKS   3

Sniper Chuck Mouraine scores his first of three goals just 18 seconds into the game, as the Hawks jump out to a 4-0 first period lead!  Sub B. Westenberg factored in all of the Hawks tallies with a goal and three helpers.  Jimmy “Boog” Powell(2) and sub Higgins with the Sharks markers.

SHARKS   5    WINGS   3

Both teams split for the day as Sharks sub “Magnum” Higgins records the trick!  Kevin Mahon and sub Lawson also with Sharks goals.  Scoring for the Wings in this penalty free game were Jack Jenereaux, Barry Piornack and Dougie Roehl.

FLYERS   5    BRUINS   1

The top spot Flyers and goaler Mike Mostyn dominate this contest, as they sweep for the day and remain undefeated in seven straight games!  Deuces wild for Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel and Al Platt.  Sub Big Mike Folster with the Flyers final goal.  Rick Batchelder with the lone Bruins marker as they drop a double dip today.  Bruins center Bobby Watson had brought sandwiches for his teammates for the Holiday’s.  But after todays poor performance, he almost didn’t break them out following the game, until teammate Counselor Tom McHugh deliberated a good closing argument for the consumption of those fine sandwiches!

HAWKS   3    HABS   3

This game started out as a shoot out at the O.K. Corral, as the first period ended in a 3-3 tie!  Both goalies – “Sugar” John Marchin and Sir Kevin Beebe shut the door in the final period, as both teams pick up a point.  Habs sub “Greg” Landry with the deuce.  Jeff Tracy scores once again for the Habs.  Parker “You Can Call Me” Johnson, Ronnie Meltsner and Argentina sub Churilla tally for the Hawks.

Since it is the holiday season.
