HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HABS    5    BRUINS   3

The Habs score twice on the power play to defeat the host Bruins.  Brian Belloli scores 41 ticks into the game to get the party started.  Robert Stempian, Pat Collins and subs “Catfish” Hunter and Oyama also tally for the Habs.  Bruins – Joe Plati(2) and Doug Wargo.

WINGS   4     HAWKS   4

“Black” Jack Priauix of the Hawks scores his second goal of the game, with the goalie pulled and only 12 seconds left in the game, for the tie!  Kenny Perko and Billy Hagen with singles.  Deuces wild for the Wings Steve Orr and Ken Debus.

FLYERS   5     SHARKS   2

2-2 entering the final stanza, then the Flyers rattle off three goals in a three minute span!  Captain Ryan O’Rourke with a two goal game.  Singles for Sam Bonanno, Steve Lemieux and sub Matt Linnell.  The Flyers sported five subs today.  Bruce Gooel and Bo Altherr were the Sharks marksman.

BRUINS   3     SHARKS   3

Both teams come off a loss in game one to earn a point on the day.  Once again Bruce Gooel and Bo Altherr score for the Fish.  Sub Mike Garlick with the Sharks middle tally.  Bruins – Mike Lawson, Robert Watson and sub Dougie Roehl.  Subs Roehl and the Sharks McKibben both with roughing minor penalties.

HABS   4    HAWKS   3

The Habs sweep on the day behind the two goal game of Brian Belloli.  Singles for Pat Collins and Mike Ala.  As in game one – “Black” Jack Priauix with the deuce and Kenny Perko with a single for the Hawks.  This was a penalty free game.

WINGS   2    FLYERS   1

The top spot Wings certainly have the Flyers number as they defeat the Flyers for a third straight time, only allowing four goals in those three games!  The Wings score both of their goals of the power play variety as Ken Debus and Steve Orr do the honors.  Sub puck stopper Mark Smyth was outstanding between the pipes!  Ryan O’Rourke with the lone Flyers marker.
