Why I Mow My Own Yard Lee Trevino: A True Story

One day, shortly after joining the PGA tour in 1965, Lee Trevino, a professional golfer and married man, was at his home in Dallas,Texas mowing his front lawn, as he always did.

A lady driving by in a big, shiny Cadillac stopped in front of his house, lowered the window and asked, “Excuse me, do you speak English?”

Lee responded, “Yes Ma’am, I do.”

The lady then asked, “What do you charge to do yard work?”

Lee said, “Well, the lady in this house lets me sleep with her.”

The lady hurriedly put the car into gear and sped off.

HAWKS   3     FLYERS   2
A nip and tuck game as the top spot Hawks prevail over the Flyers.  Hawks sub T. Schurman with the deuce.  Mark Smyth with the Hawks middle marker.  Returning from a multiple week DL stint – Hawks goalie Tom Gazley was excellent between the pipes.  Pat Berry and Kevin Maguire score for the Flyers.  Paul Giles who drafted the Wings team, subbed for the Flyers today.  A scary incident happened when the Hawks Billy Hagen went head first into Flyers defenseman Kevin Maguire.  Billy was not feeling good postgame parking lot and said he was going to Urgent Care.  Hope all is well Billy!
HABS   4    SHARKS   2
Moncton call up Bobby Watson scores twice for the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge.  Singles for Mike Ala and Rob “Hoser” Duncan.  Looking much lighter and quicker after finally getting his haircut – Habs goalie John Marchin was stellar in nets!  Ben Haynes and Bruce Gooel dent the twine for the Fish in this penalty free game.
WINGS   1     BRUINS   1
The Wings score a late game fluky disputed goal for the tie.  Referee said he saw it cross the line.  The Bruins beg to differ.  Robbie Porter with a slam dunk goal off of a great pass from right defenseman Rick Batchelder.  Jimmy George with the Wings seeing eye goal.
 BRUINS   5    HAWKS   1
Now undefeated in their past five games, the Bruins play a great game and dominate the Hawks.  Captain Steve “Mario” Lemieux scores twice for the Bruins.  Singles for Chuck Mouraine, Rick Batchelder and Robbie Porter.  Goal-keep Mike Schlimgen again only allows one goal in the game!  Mark Smyth with the Hawks goal.  Robbie Porter(Interference) impeads Gerry Krause(Slashing) of the Hawks who takes exception and lays a little lumber on him.
SHARKS   4    WINGS   3
Like a broken record, the Wings once again relinquish a late game two goal lead and see the Sharks steal the victory!  Sharks – General Robert E. Lee, Ben Haynes, Al Sparks and sub Matt Linnell.  Subs J.P. Higgins(2) and John Zuccarini tally for the Wings.  Higgins with a beautiful shorthanded backhanded breakaway goal.
