HABS   6    WINGS   3

A season of frustration came to a head as the Frenchmen play a free wheeling game and upend the top spot Wings!  The elusive and speedy Mike Ala with the tour du chapeau!  French Canadian sub Steve “Mario” Lemieux with the deuce.  Captain Kenny “Primetime” Wilkins with a goal and three helpers.  James George(2) and Chuck Mouraine score for the Wings.  Somebody woke up the big guy, as Habs defenseman Howard Smith picks up three penalties and a head start to rest up for game two, in his early game exit!

HAWKS   3    SHARKS   1

Mark Smyth, Pat Collins and Steve Orr score for the Hawks and sub net-minder “Sugar” John Marchin plays almost flawlessly, as the host Hawks defeat the Sharks.  Big Ben Haynes with the Sharks lone marker.

FLYERS   4   BRUINS   1

Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel dents the twine twice for the Flyers.  John Zuccarini and sub Lawson with singles.  Flyers sub puck stopper Rick “Ticker Chauvin was outstanding in nets!  Bobby Watson was the only Bruin to solve Ticker in this penalty free game.

HABS   4    SHARKS   1

The Habs sweep for the first time this season behind the two goal efforts of Ronnie Meltsner.  John Perini and Mike Ala with singles.  Sir Kevin Beebe with an excellent game between the pipes.  David Walters with the lone Shark goal.  No trips to the sin bin for either squad.

WINGS   7   BRUINS   2

The Wings right the ship as marksman James George records the trick.  Pete Gibb with a two goal game.  Singles for Brian Belloli and sub “Magnum” Higgins.  Chuck Mouraine with the hat trick assist.  Adam Godard with both Bruins goals as they drop a deuce today.  This was a penalty free game.

HAWKS   3    FLYERS   2

This was a scoreless game entering the final period.  Hawks smooth skating center Steve Orr opens the games scoring with a penalty shot goal!  Pat Collins and Jeff “Dick” Tracy also tally for the Hawks as they sweep for the day.  Sub goaler John Marchin one again was stellar in nets.  Al Platt and sub Lawson with the Flyers markers.  Pat Collins(Hooking) and Flyers sub Lawson(10 Minute Unsportsmanlike Conduct Penalty) hit the box in tandem late in the game.
