CONGRATS TO THE BRUINS AND HABS WHO WILL FACE-OFF NEXT WEEK IN THE SAM CUPP CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!

TOLD YA!

DOES NOT MATTER WHAT KIND OF REGULAR SEASON THE HABS HAVE!

NEVER DISCOUNT A KENNY WILKINS LEAD TEAM!

FINAL WEEK – PLAYOFFS

BRUINS   2    WINGS   1

The top spot Bruins put a serious dent in the Wings championship game aspirations.  Rob “Nifty” Middleton with the game wining shorthanded goal for the Bruins!  Outgoing(Not playing next season)  Captain of the Bruins Bob “Bugsy” Watson with their initial goal.  Goalie “Ticker” Chauvin was outstanding in nets!  The swift Chuck Mouraine with the Wings goal.

SHARKS   4    HAWKS   3

Bruce “The Enabler” Gooel leads the Sharks with a two goal game!  Singles for for subs Paul Vioalssi and Lance Kos.  Playoff scoring leader Billy Hagen, Jeff Tracy and Adam Godard tally for the Hawks in this penalty free affair.

FLYERS   5     HABS   2

Flyers needed the W against the second place Habs to stay in contention too play next week.  Mission accomplished so far!  Steve “Mario” Lemieux includes an absolute shorthanded one timer water bottle blast, in his two goal game resume.  Singles for Ryan O’Rouke, sub Doug Beck and on a complete undressing of the Habs right defenseman – Sammy Bonanno.  Goaler Brian Miller with a strong game between the pipes.  Power left winger “Gentleman” Don Courtley with both French goals.

SHARKS   4    WINGS   3

The Sharks sweep by identical scores today behind the hat trick efforts of speedy sub Paul Vioalssi.  Big Ben Haynes also scores for the Fish.  Needing a win – the Wings pull the goalie tied 3-3 as they surrender the non-consequential game winning goal.  Misunderstood forward Ken Debus scores twice for the Wings.  Center Steve Orr with their middle marker.

HAWKS   4     HABS   0

Despite the double dip loss today, the Habs get to play next week!  Hawks sub goalie Joe “Ricky” Nelson shines in nets with the whitewash.  Jimmy George with the deuce.  Singles for Kenny Perko and Bruce Buntin.  Robbie Porter with three helpers.  No Habs highlights.

BRUINS    4    FLYERS   3

With the Hawks dispatching of the Habs in game two, all the Flyers needed was a W to play next week.  Didn’t happen, as the Bruins continue on their remarkable undefeated playoff season!  Despite going down early 2-0, the Bruins make good on several odd man rushes for the hard fought victory.  Mike Lawson, Joe Plati, Rob “Hurricane” Halbhuber and in my opinion the best defenseman in the league – Dave Debrincat score for the Bruins.  Flyers – Kevin Maguire, Sammy Bonanno and Paul Polizzi.
