LAST SATURDAYS TORONTO/PANTHERS GAME.

“I MEANT TO BLOW THE WHISTLE!”

THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO EVEN THINK OF BLOWING THE WHISTLE.

THE PLAY WAS ONGOING!

A HUGE BLACK EYE FOR THE NHL AND MR. GARY BETTMAN!

SHARKS   2    FLYERS   1

Sharks puck stopper Brian Miller stands on his proverbial head and steals this game for the Fish!  Ben Haynes and General Robert E. Lee score for the Sharks.  Moved up to his normal forward position – Bruce Buntin with the lone Flyers goal.  The Flyers were once again minus power forward Jeff Morton, who was serving a two game suspension for a transgression last week.  The powers to be reviewed the infraction on Live Barn and hence the suspension.  Mr. Morton is now quickly obtaining former Sting player Jason Rockey notoriety.

HAWKS   3     WINGS   1

Sub goalie Paul Kaczmarek plays an outstanding game for the Hawks!  Ronnie Meltsner and sub Ken Debus with goals.  Curt Lesnau with the game winning goal, on a blistering shot that barely reached the back of the net!  Paul Violassi with the Wings marker.  But the big question of this game was – who wears the better dou rag?  Paul Violassi or Howard Smith?

HABS   4    BRUINS   3

“Gentleman” Don Courtly with the game winning French goal.  Steve “Honey Badger” Orr with the deuce.  Right winger Mike Harke with a five hole goal.  Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins with all three Bruins goals!  Nice game Eddie!  Chuck Mouraine of the Habs incurs a solo roughing minor penalty.

FLYERS   3     WINGS   3

Sammy Bonanno scores his second goal of the game late in the final period for the tie!  Keith Foucher with the Flyers middle marker.  Mark Smyth, Brian Belloli and Paul Vioalssi tally for the Wings in this well played game.

HAWKS   2     HABS   2

The Hawks jump out to an early 2-0 lead on goals from Doug “Jeff” Beck and Billy Hagen, only to see the scrappy Habs claw back for the well earned tie!  The first place Habs are still undefeated in the season!  Sting rookie Russ Kemp and Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins score for the Habs in this penalty free game.  The Habs defenseman played a great game as they continually blocked shot after shot!

SHARKS   3     BRUINS   3

The third tie of the games twos!  Big Ben Haynes ties the game up late for the Sharks!  Bruce “The Enabler” Gooel and Rob Lee also score.  Bruins Captain Steve “Mario” Lemieux comes out of hibernation and plays a great game, while scoring his second and third goals of the season.  Continuing his hot play – Eddie Higgins with a single.
