BRUINS   2     HABS    1

Sniper Chuck Mouraine scores his first of two goals a minute into the game and goal-keep Bobby Rutkoske does the rest as the Bruins edge the Frenchmen.  Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence with the lone French marker.  Goaler Sir Kevin Beebe stood tall in nets.

FLYERS    5    SHARKS   3

Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel scores his first of three goals 13 ticks into the game as the talented Flyers roll.  The cerebral Robbie Porter with the deuce.  Steve Dietrich, Pat Collins and sub “Magnum” Higgins score for the Fish.

WINGS    6    HAWKS   0

The Wings first two shots of the game find the back of the net and the rout was on!  David Walters, Mark Smyth, Paulie “Jay Giles” – “First I Look at the Purse” and the Al’s – Pyc and Phipps, with a quick snap shot a minute into the game score for the Wings.  Goalie Mike Schlimgen with the whitewash.  This was a well coached game by coach Phil!  Certainly no Hawks highlights in the game!

HABS    4     HAWKS   2

The Habs play a solid game and send the Hawks to a double dip defeat in this penalty free game.  John ‘The Little Ball of Hate” Perini, Marty Sell, Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins and sub Jason Lutz score for the Habs.  Goaler Sir Kevin Beebe was solid between the pipes.  Curt Lesnau and sub “Scowling” Scott Leslie tally for the Hawks, who still remain tied for the top spot in the standings beside this amazing anomaly.  The Hawks have 21 goals for and 28 goals against and are still tied for first!  Pretty amazing!

BRUINS   3    SHARKS   2

The Bruins sweep for the day and the Sharks go in the other direction!  The Bruins are now tied for first place in the standings.  Speedster Steve “Mario” Lemieux scores twice for the Bruins.  Chuck Mouraine with their initial marker.  Goalie Bobby Rutkoske shined in nets.  Big Ben Haynes with both Sharks goals.  Bruins tough guy Randy Debuel picks up a minor boarding penalty.

WINGS   5    FLYERS   1

Relatively not needed and quiet in the game one rout, scoring machine James George with the hat trick for the Wings who sweep on the day.  Mark Smyth and sub Lawson with singles.  Goalie Mike Schlimgen with another strong game in nets.  Robert E. Lee was the only Flyer to solve Mr. Schlimgen, who almost produced a rare double shutout today. Wings sub, marine “Vin” Sully displayed some muscle today, with two roughing and one unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalties.  His second roughing minor was a set-to with Ryan O’Rourke, who also hit the box with a roughing minor.
